Paralives, the long-promised indie Sims challenger, launches on PC today after six years of crowdfunded development — and the timing could not be sharper for an EA Sims competitor. The Sims 4 has spent the last two years getting publicly battered for monetization and content-pack fatigue, and Paralives shows up as arguably the most polished Sims alternative the genre has seen since EA's monopoly tightened.
