DLSS 4.5 Still Beats FSR 4.1 in Major Blind Test

▸ THE LEAD

A seven-game community blind test published today confirms Nvidia's lead, but AMD's gap is the smallest it's ever been.

A large blind test published today across seven titles — including ARC Raiders, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 — found DLSS 4.5 ranked first in image quality in six of the seven games, with AMD FSR 4.1 winning only in Resident Evil Requiem. What matters more is how close the second-place finishes were: FSR 4.1 consistently landed just behind DLSS, a meaningful jump from earlier generations that often fell well short. Both technologies are now close enough to native rendering that test methodology matters almost as much as the upscaler. For PC gamers on AMD GPUs, the practical takeaway is that you're no longer making a significant image-quality sacrifice. Nvidia still leads, but it's a lead you have to go looking for.
