For the first time in the franchise's twelve-year run, Forza Horizon is leaving Western open worlds — Forza Horizon 6 launches tomorrow with Tokyo as its centerpiece. It's Microsoft's biggest first-party release of the quarter on paper, day-one on Game Pass and PC, arriving as the company is still digesting another round of studio layoffs and pushing Project Helix toward 2027. Horizon games have always been more theme park than race sim, and a stylized Japan is the most obvious tonal pivot the series has ever attempted.
